Le Trappiste are pleased to announce the details of the third Altrincham Bottle & Cask Beer Festival, over the August Bank Holiday weekend, 27th-29th, the venue is Altrincham historic market.
Following on from last years sell out, we are providing 30% more cask ale and cider this year with many new breweries making their first appearance in Altrincham. The foreign beers will have a strong Belgian presence as you would expect allied for the first time by beers from the U.S.A and Germany, the Belgian list in particular will include many rareities. The guest list will appear as soon as the beers are confirmed.
All of the music is provided by local bands, on Saturday night 'Quiet Desparation' get the festival off to a rocking start, on Sunday afternoon it's the turn of Vinyl Union (formerly Bear Fist) playing classic indie and pop from the '80's onwards. Sunday night sees the turn of Bare Wires a local blues/soul band who recently were the 'Headline' act at the famous Band on the Wall in Manchester. The Monday afternoon entertainment sees the return of Redwing who closed last years festival, with their chilled out vibes.
If you wish to get involved in the festival and raise funds for our festival charity Stockdales you can sponsor a cask of ale. Please contact Natalie James, Stockdales fundraiser via natalie.james@stockdales.org.uk. Your name will appear on our website with a link to your company, in the programme and of course on the cask itself, this is a great way to raise your company profile and funds for a very wothwhile cause.
Le Trappiste would like to thank the members of Trafford & Hulme branch of CAMRA for their continued support and assistance.
Entrance to the festival is £5.00 which includes programme and festival glass, members of the Emergency services, the Armed forces and CAMRA will all receive a 10% discount, proof of ID/membership will be required.
